Beginning of a new project

Today I gave beginning to a project on Irish men who join the British army during the second world war. So far, has been a great pleasure to work on this story.

Below, a portrait of Phil Farrington, a 92 year old Irish veteran of the Second World War. Mr. Farrington is one of the few remaining irish men who joined the British army during the war.

As a neutral country, Ireland considered him a deserter and on his return home he was put in prison for several years, charged with treason to the nation.
