Grandma Abe

Grandma Abe washes some dishes in the kitchen of their temporary shelter in Togura village, Minami Sanriku.

The Abe family, along with hundreds of other fishermen families in Togura, lost their house, business and family to the tsunami that devastated Japan's northeast coast in 2011. They live now in a small prefabricate house, provided by the government after the disaster.
