I'm just back from a short trip to the Lebanon-Syria border. Not a very productive one picture wise, but good enough to write a follow-up feature in syrian refugees in the Lebanese side of the border.
Below a photograph of Yasmin, a five year old syrian child that, according to her family, got shot by Assad's soldiers near her home in Homs.
Yasmin had several emergency surgeries at Tripoli's Governmental Hospital days after the incident, but due to the lack of funds to pay for treatment she was forced to leave the hospital halfway through the recovery. She's now starting to develop infections and is at risk of loosing her leg by amputation.
Yasmin, like many children, is just another innocent victim of a dirty war.
